Community Garden Alliance
Now, in its second year, the Community Garden Alliance (CGA) is a community-funded, volunteer-based service project of the Woman's Club of Spokane.
We grow food at community gardens for the purpose of donating to transitional housing facilities for women and children coming out of homelessness. To date, more than 1,500 pounds of fresh vegetables have been distributed to women and children in transitional housing, and other families in need.
You can find our garden plots at Finch Arboretum, Polly Judd Park and Underhill Community Garden. Other community growing partners include local farms and community markets who generously contribute surplus organic fruits and vegetables.
Ways you can help
We are seeking monetary or in-kind donations* to secure tools and organic, non-GMO plants, soil, and compost, etc.
A gift of $25 sponsors the free weekly lunch at the produce market being held on Mondays, Mid-May through October at Woman's Club Spokane.
