The School of Tai Chi Chaun has been offering tai chi classes in Spokane since 1984. We teach the Yang Style Short Form with a focus on softness, straightness and relaxation as you are guided through easy to follow movements. Practicing Tai Chi increases circulation, improves balance and posture, reduce stress, and enhances vitality. Tai chi is gentle enough for anyone to enjoy, no matter the age. Everyone is welcome. This class focuses on the artistic and dynamic aspects of the sensuous Rumba and the energetic Cha Cha. No dance experience required—beginners welcome! We’ll mix it up—learning both with and without partners. Learning how to dance on your own feet is a key part of the artistry and expression of this intricate style. The Silver Spurs repertoire represents over 40 cultures, including Mexican, Japanese, English, Ukrainian, Filipino, Norwegian, Haitian, and traditional American dances. An open embrace (salon style) class for beginners. In six weeks, learn the basics of Argentine Tango. Get skills to step out on the dance floor. Or join us to brush up on your basic skills.
